J.F. SCHWARZLOSE BERLIN

J.F. Schwarzlose is one of the few traditional German perfume houses, founded in 1856 and made famous in the interwar period, when it created emblematic essences for the royal and imperial courts, perfumes that reached Australia and are now found in museums in Beijing and New York.
In the 1920s, the house pioneered olfactory campaigns and packaging innovations, collaborating with movie stars and designers such as Wilhelm Wagenfeld of the Bauhaus, and today, its modern reinterpretations start from old formulas authenticated by chromatographic analysis of the original bottles.
The creations are developed and handcrafted in Berlin by a team with extensive experience in perfumery and design, which includes Véronique Nyberg, perfumer at Mane, and Lutz Herrmann, designer for brands such as Gucci, Hugo Boss and Jil Sander.
The result is a collection that reflects the vibrant and eclectic spirit of contemporary Berlin – original, authentic and bold, but never strident or commercial, with an eccentric and refined character, like the city from which it was born.
