Share a journey into the vibrant world of Escentric 05, where the blue sky becomes a portal to the landscapes of the Mediterranean summer.
Geza Schoen describes Escentric 05 as a reinterpretation of summer perfume, evoking the feeling of being on an island in the Mediterranean Sea, without resorting to conventional marine notes, considered too artificial. The fragrance is built around a dry and radiant cashmeran, enriched with a surprising note of pine resin.
In its composition, bergamot and orange bring a light and emotional note, reflecting the orange orchards that cover the island. The intense aromas of bay and rosemary add a peppery freshness, while juniper and cypress bring a woody and pungent tone, specific to the Mediterranean region.
The drying of the perfume is composed of two ingredients typical of the Mediterranean area: cistus labdanum and mastic. Mastic, a resin from a small shrub that grows predominantly near the sea, gives off a clean, sharp fragrance similar to freshly cut branches. Cistus, a small plant found all over the Mediterranean, has a sweet, leathery smell with balsamic notes that I love. In addition, the formula contains around 15% casmeran, giving the fragrance a piney warmth.
To add an authentic and personal touch, the fragrance also includes the discreet essence of fig, capturing both the bitter taste of the leaves and the ripeness of the fruit. This element is inspired by the fig trees in the vicinity of the designer's house on the island, reminding him of the joy of summer spent by the sea.
