LYS SOLABERG

Lys Solaberg is inspired by the encounter with wild lilies during a night walk in a fjord, after a few hours spent walking through humid swamps, dotted with tall grasses and scattered flowers. On that day, as usual in the region, the weather was very unpredictable. The gusts of wind carried back and forth the rain-laden clouds that covered the valleys through which we went. Then, the sun appeared again, as if by magic. On the way, I saw numerous waterfalls flowing down the dark granite walls. Our final destination was a village on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the sea. I arrived at it around midnight. And yet, although it was the middle of summer, the sun had not yet set. In the distance, we could see the sun's rays illuminating the waves, creating an iridescent glow. I remember that I took shelter for a moment between two wooden houses with thatched roofs. And right there, right in that place, I was surprised to see some lilies. Lys Solaberg opens with a fruity, bright and slightly liqueur-like note, offered by the bergamot, wine yeast and quince accord. The heart sees the smoky and spicy facets of the lily accentuated by a note of calamus (variety of reed), while the luminous top note is enhanced by the iridescent, pearly facet of a duo of iris and carrot seeds. The latter envelop the flower with a fruity roundness, accentuated by an accord of dried fruits. Ambroxane, which plays an important role in the formula, introduces a very complex woody base. The smoky appearance of the lily is prolonged by guaiac wood, while the natural sensation of the fragrance is accentuated by oak moss absolutes, patchouli, cedar, tobacco absolutes and matte. Finally, an amber accord built around labdanum and an absolute of burnt oak splinters, reinforces the truly original character of the fragrance. The main idea was to create a contrast between the bright rays of the sun from the sea, the delicate flower and the wild natural environment.
