Description
He killed, sliced and skinned three women. She used their fat to create fragrant soaps, baked their blood in the oven, turned it into powder and sprinkled it in the dough of some biscuits that she offered to her friends, next to tea.
She is Leonarda Cianciulli, Italy's first serial killer, known as the soap maker of Correggio. Victim of superstitions and consumed by a morbid and distorted maternal love, she believed that the sacrifice of these women could improve the evil spirits that, according to the prophecies of a witch, were going to kill her children.
Spiritica, the luxury perfume house with a paranormal dimension, chooses to tell the story of this disturbing historical character olfactory. This is how LEONARDA, the first creation in CRIMECOLLECTION, was born. The concept was imagined by Daniele Muratori Caputo, the founder of Spiritica, together with the influencer and expert in perfumes and criminal psychology, Ariosto. The olfactory composition bears the signature of perfumer Paolo Cerizza.
The fragrance begins with a clear and unexpected opening of Marseille soap, evoking a bizarre and suspicious cleanliness, enveloped in accents of pepper and caustic soda. The background reveals a dense, dusty and decadent gourmet composition, with dirty and dark notes that presage something disturbing, but strangely seductive.
At the heart of the fragrance, the warm and inviting tones of chantilly cream intertwine with the aroma of homemade biscuits, but these biscuits hide a sinister surprise: raspberry syrup merges with the shades of coagulated blood, forming an explosive, sweet and metallic accord at the same time.
The finish brings a sumptuous and imposing oud, fused with dark chocolate and sulfurous alchemical accords, opening the doors to a dark and unexplored world. The result is an olfactory concentrate of overwhelming intensity, with a memorable trail and remarkable longevity, which is deeply impregnated in the memory of the wearer – and, especially, in that of those who meet it.
Leonarda does not judge between good and evil, but invites a reconfiguration of perception – a new look at the fragility between love and madness. It is a composition that intertwines crime and justice in a controversial and polarizing olfactory form. Although she confessed to her crimes, Leonarda Cianciulli always considered herself innocent before the law.
