Description
The inspiration for Hibiscus Mahajad came from tasting a hibiscus infusion in a gemstone market. It was the end of the day. The temperatures had been scorching all day, so the city was just beginning to come alive. The square was a labyrinth, with numerous people walking around nonchalantly.
The sun crossed the glass ceilings, shining on the white walls, adding touches of color. The atmosphere was getting more and more agitated. The merchants were busy presenting their best products: colored fabrics, lacquered wood and marble furniture, amulets, precious jewelry in countless colors. There was an abundance of gold, silver, amethyst, colored sapphires, and jade.
I remember sitting between two stalls to rest. I was served a fresh, strong, fruity and sweet infusion, made from rose and hibiscus petals infused and sweetened with a touch of cinnamon, mint and vanilla. We chose to build this fragrance around notes of rose and vanilla, adding intense luminosity, a fruity blackcurrant facet, powdery warmth and a strong element of both leather and amber. It is a deliciously sensual note that reflects the very original infusion of hibiscus.
