BLACK KARAK is a comfort mug transformed into chaos. Karak means more than a tea. It's warmth, generosity and ritual, all in a small cup. Sweet, milky, spicy, unforgettable. But I didn't leave the sweetness untouched. I dipped it in a smoked oud, dressed it in leather and lit a spark. Comfort becomes wild. Hospitality is out of its nature.
BLACK KARAK opens as a freshly poured hot karak tea with creamy milk, heavy spices and a hot saffron. He feels generous, golden, alive. Then the overturning occurs. The oud bursts dark and animalic, wrapping the cream in smoke. The skin hardens it, the fire burns it. The jam does not remain, but persists sticky and addictive, soiled by spices and skin. It is the essence of hospitality transformed into something wild and untamed. A cup of heat that burns more on the skin than on the tongue.
