"Jean-David gave me Madeline Miller's novel of the same name. I wanted to capture the sensuality of the text, the 'sense of words' that resonates throughout its pages. I imagined a chameleon-like orange blossom resting on a bed of musks, at once virginal and warrior-like, revealing all of its nuances and complexity. I paired it with immortelle, whose warm and salty facets pay tribute to the Mediterranean while subtly referencing the vulnerability of Achilles' heel. Geranium and moss create the illusion of a disguised fougere, echoing the ambiguous emotions shared by the two heroes." Alexandra Carlin
