Etrango is a complex fragrance – vibrant, exotic and uninhibited, just like Berlin itself. The eleventh creation of the house of J.F. Schwarzlose is an olfactory kaleidoscope that invites the senses in a spectacle of images and emotions.
Patchouli, tree moss and sensual cypriol dance underground, while Damascus rose and Arabian jasmine sparkle in the city light. The notes play between seduction and delicacy, inspiring curiosity and escape from the everyday. The name Etrango combines the words "étrange" (strange) and "strange" (strange), but also evokes the rhythm of tango – an invitation to dance for metropolitan molecules.
The fragrance's relaunch marks a modern reimagining of a creation originally launched in 1929, when it was described as "a whimsical fragrance – distinguished, innovative, powerful and enduring". Lutz Herrmann reinterprets the design of the original bottle in an elegant and urban form, paying homage to Schwarzlose's visual heritage through label, font and graphic composition.
