Description
After a long journey in the hunt for raw materials, the inspiration for the latest collection of 2018 takes place in the "in love" parts of southern Italy. The collection will highlight the citrus family found in Capua - the top creator of citrus essential oils since 1880. The Italia collection will pay tribute and special attention to citrus essences by capturing the warmth of the sun's rays and the natural attributes of the "heart", while emphasizing the natural characteristics of citrus with touches of cedar, mandarin and bergamot.
BERGAMOTTO DI CALABRIA Found and grown exclusively in Calabria, along the Ionian coast, bergamot is the acidic combination of a bitter orange and lemon. There are three types of bergamot: femminiello, castagnaro and fantastic. Bergamotto Di Calabria contains the precious ingredient called "bergamot sponge". The extraction is still done manually. First, the fruit is cut in half, and the pulp is removed by hand with a special, curved knife. Then, the crust is compressed onto a natural sponge in a circular motion to collect the essence. The accumulated essence is the most delicate and complex and resembles a fruity and floral note of jasmine. A return to the origins and traditional techniques to take advantage of the best raw materials and enrich them with a drop of modernity, a composition that incorporates the freshness of bergamot, persistent and energetic.
