A term borrowed from Jules Verne in "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", les eaux primordiales (primordial waters) are the first signs of life on Earth. Conceived as a homecoming, combining expertise, innovation and authenticity, Arnaud Poulain naturally headed to his native country near Arras in northern France to establish La Manufacture of parfums. From the design of the perfume with Amélie Bourgeois to the bottling, the entire process is hosted at La Manufacture.
The inspiration and design of Les Eaux Promediales are shaped by the industrial heritage of northern France, science and art in all their forms. Especially representative are the German photographer couple, Bernd and Hilla Becher.
Tania and Vincent, two Parisian photographers, create the visual identity of Les Eaux Primordiales. Their graphic and colorful world is perfect in tune with the brand.
The values embodied by Arnaud Poulain and all his sources of inspiration make Les Eaux Primordiales a brand of the future, at the same time immersed in history, where perfumes take us into a world of authenticity, inventiveness and transcendence.
