Description
Henri Frapin likes to relax on spring Sundays in front of the property, built in 1702 and located above the production plant.
He contemplates this region of forests, rivers and pastures in which he was born and which is part of his nature.
He considers this "nectar" that his family began to produce as early as 1889 as a gift. His favorite moment is when his son joins him around 11 a.m., when the sun's rays warm this enchanting land.
The chessboard is ready. His son sits down and resumes this metaphorical battle without too many words, a battle that unites him with his father in the joy of play.
The spring breeze brings with it the refreshing scents of the surrounding forests. The sun warms the citrus fruits that ripen in the terracotta pot on the table, while notes of iris and hyacinth cover the valley with their scent from under the freshly formed dew. Henri serves his son the traditional tea with cardamom, a spice that shares its origins with this ancient game. Both players strive to checkmate while at the same time postponing the moment to prolong these special moments, this bridge between the two generations, this bond of parental love that will bind them forever.
