Molecule 03 is made up of vetiveryl acetate, a pure and singular compound.
Vetiveryl acetate can be described as a hybrid, semisynthetic, partially natural molecule. It is derived from a fraction of vetiver oil obtained by distilling the roots of an Indian herb, which is then "combined" with acetic acid to remove the bitter and leathery notes of the root.
In India, essential vetiver was an ingredient in ancient perfumes and was known as the "oil of tranquility." Vetiver is recognized for its ability to reduce anxiety and promote mental clarity through its comforting and adventurous aura.
For Molecule 03, Geza Schoen brought a modernist vetiveryl acetate note, a refined vetiver note appreciated for its earthy and smoky facets and for its rich and enveloping nature. Think of the smell of unmowed grass on a warm day or a forest with warm balsamic tones to imagine what vetiver smells like.
"Acetylation highlights a grapefruit note in vetiver, giving it a more pronounced, bitter and fresh top," says Geza Schoen.
The result is an elegant and refined molecule with a woody vetiver character, slightly grassy, but much smoother and smoother.
The Molecule 03 fragrance is radically minimalist. It contains no odorants other than the flavor molecule, vetiveryl acetate.
Customers who find Molecule fragrances too discreet may prefer Escentric fragrances, as they always have a stronger presence and a more pronounced aroma.
